A big THANKYOU to Mrs Connolly and her students in the Enrichment PROJECT for CHANGE for the wonderful Bee Bombs (Hydrangeas) which have been placed on our school front steps, and for the colourful bee baths and bee hotel which have been placed in our school garden by Casey in Year 7. The bees will be very busy pollinating our plants and will be able to drink and rest when they have finished.

Also, the Enrichment group have been working with the charity - Global Action Plan – Our Lives. Our Planet. who will donating a Bosh Push Along Lawn Mower and garden gloves, be put to good use by our keen gardeners in the garden club.

    Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Mary Poppins 2024 - a huge success and a musical that was thoroughly loved by audiences, cast and crew with songs that proved irresistible for those who found themselves singing and clapping along.

  • School Artist Kaede Marsden

    Mon 08 Jul 2024

We are thrilled to share with you our very own Kaede Marsden for her remarkable artwork. Kaede will be selling her artwork and similar pieces at The Market Dover, held on the fourth Saturday of each month from 10:00-3:00 in Market Square.

The Market Dover is a wonderful event that hosts local producers and craftspeople from across the district. It is a fantastic opportunity to browse stalls offering homemade cakes and bread, preserves, jewellery, crafts, candles, natural cosmetics, and more. We encourage everyone to visit and support Kaede and other local talents. Your presence would mean a lot to her and to our school community.

  • Forest School Activities - Final Week

    Wed 26 Jun 2024

Some of our students visited Christchurch University Canterbury today, encompassing a tour of the sports lab, experimented with different equipment, which is used to measure different abilities for individual people.

Once they finished in the lab, they looked at different chemicals to see how they burnt and what colours they gave off, then looked at the different water and soil samples that they collected from the forest school. The students really engaged and enjoyed the experience!

Big thanks to Miss Marsh and staff for making this happen!!

  • Educational Outreach Project

    Thu 20 Jun 2024

    Outdoor Learning, the final week.

Students made pizza’s, learnt how to build a stretcher and help someone if they were injured, then they reflected on their time and experience at Willowbank Education Centre by writing messages about what they enjoyed most.

The whole experience has been incredibly valuable to our children. Students have been lucky enough to experience hands-on learning in a woodland environment and the benefits have been striking. The students have gained independence and confidence, whilst having great fun in the process!

THANK YOU to Miss Marsh and staff for supporting our students with this great experience.

The rain has meant we have not been able to go to the garden since we planted our potatoes. Imagine our surprise that we have fully grown flowering potato plants! We look forward to a good harvest of potatoes.

Today we planted bean and peas. Lets hope the sunshine keeps coming.
