Passport to Success
At St Edmund's Catholic School, we want to inspire students to actively seek to develop their own character, so that they ultimately become respectful, kind, resilient individuals ready to be leaders in Britain and the wider world. St Edmund's Catholic School aspires to develop young people who, through courage and confidence, will achieve their goals, and in turn will be motivated to serve others in the local, national and global community to become flourishing members of society.
By completing our passport to Success, our pupils will be receiving recognition of the experiences they have learnt from and personal achievements. Through engagement with their personal passport they will begin to develop the skills, attitudes and character virtues needed to fulfil their true potential.
Completion of our passport can:
- help students improve motivation and independence.
- encourage students to explore the world around them and discover new things that they might enjoy or be good at.
- encourage students to be more active, creative, curious, and adventurous, which can boost their physical and mental health.
- foster students’ character and resilience, by challenging them to try new things, overcome difficulties, and learn from failures.
- support students’ learning and academic achievement, by enhancing their communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- strengthen students’ relationships with their parents, teachers, and peers, by providing opportunities for shared fun, collaboration, and feedback.
