Welcome to St Edmund’s
We are delighted to welcome you to St Edmund’s Catholic School, our, warm, successful and vibrant school. Our recent whole school section 5 Ofsted inspection judged the school to be 'good' in all categories.
We are a fairly small school, taking approximately 140 students in each year group. We place a strong emphasis on supporting each individual student to thrive and succeed in their education. We believe that high quality teaching and strong pastoral support are the key to enabling our students to make excellent progress; both are of the highest priority at St Edmund’s.
We are inspired by our Catholic faith and the Gospel Values of love, equality, justice, reconciliation, mutual respect and service. We have high expectations for all our students, and we are committed to finding and developing the talents they possess whilst supporting their academic progress and achievements.
Our school is a family where we support, challenge and care for one another. Positive behaviour and relationships and a positive approach to learning are seen as essential ingredients in ensuring wellbeing and academic success for all. Our school is an environment where students feel safe, cared for and confident to express themselves, form strong relationships and embrace all the opportunities our school offers them including a wide range of extracurricular and enrichment activities.
We are proud to be part of the Kent Catholic School Partnership (KCSP). Being part of a trust provides a wide range of opportunities for staff and students to work with schools across KCSP.
We welcome applications from Catholic children and from any other children whose families are in sympathy with the school’s Catholic ethos. If you would like to visit our school and to see for yourself, then please do not hesitate to contact our school receptionist on 01304 201551 who will be pleased to help you.
Yours sincerely
