Testaments

May 2023 - Testament from Parent:

Just wanted to email you this morning to express my thanks for parents evening last night. All the staff were so friendly and lovely to talk to. They all knew my son in great detail, which means a great deal to me, and answered all my questions. Fantastic system and very easy to follow. Very grateful to all staff at St. Edmunds for making the transition from primary to secondary so easy for my normally shy son. I myself was very nervous for him as I didn't think he was ready, however he has settled in brilliantly and for the first time enjoys coming to school. That is all down to the wonderful staff and their support.

Please thank all the staff involved and pass on my gratitude. Very happy parent.

September 2023 - Testament from Parent:

I would like to share with you my experience this afternoon on public transport with a number of your students.

I am not a parent of any pupils in your school. In regards to this email I am just a member of the public.

I use public transport a lot, going from Dover to Sandwich and vice versa. I normally avoid school time buses as I find school kids a nightmare - I have teenagers at home so I'm not oblivious to their behaviour but on public transport school students seem to turn feral.

However, today I had some of your students on the bus and I have to say, they were impeccably behaved.

There were students from across your school years and each and every one of them was courteous, polite, quiet (as opposed to shouting and swearing across the bus) and spoke to one another appropriately and kindly. They didn't leave any litter or mess, they ALL thanked the driver and made the journey so comfortable for everyone on board the bus. It was such a breath of fresh air!

This isn't the first time I've had a pleasant encounter with your students on public transport and I hope not the last.

I hope this praise gets back to the students as they truly deserve it. Thank you for teaching your pupils how to conduct themselves in public, it really does make a difference.
