Science
The Science Department aims to work within the Mission Statement of the school to develop in pupils an understanding of the world around them, a scientific method of thinking and observation and an ability to communicate with an increasingly technological society.

Key Stage 4
 
All pupils will follow an appropriate Science course to GCSE Level.
 
Post 16
 
GCE A & AS Levels in PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY are offered through AQA.

-both courses 75% Examination and 25% Skills Assessment

Accreditation

 
Key Stage 3
The National Curriculum requires all pupils to be assessed at the end of Key Stage 3 (Year 9) by teacher assessment.

  • To consolidate, clarify, widen and deepen the knowledge gained in class.
