St Edmund's is situated in Dover, 'Gateway to Europe' and one of the busiest ports in the world. The school nestles in a quiet lane overlooked by the historic castle and within a mile of the coast and the famous white cliffs.

First and foremost we are a co-educational Catholic school that provides a Christ-centred education where the happiness, achievement and all round development of each child is our prime concern.

We have a well established track record for providing an excellent education and opportunities for all students, whatever their needs and abilities, from the moment they are welcomed into the school in Year 7 until they leave to go on to university, college or employment.

We are proud of the successes of all our students who thrive in a friendly, supportive community that challenges each girl and boy to develop high expectations, sound moral values and the desire to fulfil their expectations.

The school is a Performing Arts College and has recently been awarded the status of School for Innovation by Creative Partnerships Kent. As a centre of excellence we are increasingly forging strong links with other schools and the community beyond the school gates. These developments, so vital in a 21st century Britain, have now been augmented by the building of a 'State of the Art' Business Enterprise Centre which opened in the academic year 2006/7. These initiatives reinforce our ability to prepare students for the 'real world' as well as providing a happy, caring and well ordered environment underpinned by our Christian ethos.
