Travel

The school is situated about 15 minutes walk from Dover Town Centre and the South East Railway Station of Dover Priory.  Local bus routes pass the Barton Road entrance to the school, and Catholic  children are brought to the school by special contract buses from Deal, Folkestone, Hythe, Shepherdswell and  Aylesham.

Catholic pupils who live more than 3 miles away are entitled to full travelling expenses. Non-Catholic pupils may apply directly to the school to purchase a season ticket to travel on the school buses if space permits. At present a charge of £85 per half-term is made by Stage Coach East Kent Ltd.   The situation with regards to the transport of non-Catholic pupils on the contract buses cannot guarantee that concessionary places will always be available on the contract buses.

Children from Catholic families who qualify for free travel to and from the school must first apply to the Area Education Office and then contact their Priest who is required to support their application for free travel.

Pupils over the age of sixteen are required to pay £320 per year towards the cost of their travel. This policy applies to all students in Kent who travel a distance greater than three miles.
