2000 in 10 – St Edmund’s Catholic School HAITI CHALLENGE St Edmund’s Catholic School, as part of the Federation of Dover Catholic Schools has issued a challenge to students, parents, local community and local businesses – we are aiming to collect £2,000 in just 10 days to support those affected by the earthquake in Haiti. No one can remain untouched by the startling scenes that we saw in Haiti after the earthquake struck, and so St Edmund’s students have responded and want to make a difference with the local community of Dover. What we are doing:• ‘Themed day’ where students will wear the colours of the Haitian flag (blue at the top, red below) on Friday 5th February • Cake sales, talent shows and other fundraising events still to come What you can do:
Please make a donation through St Edmund’s - there will be collection points at St Edmund’s school every day over the next two weeks – we would love to add our donations to yours to exceed our target.
Join in the activities that will be hosted at St Edmund’s – details will be updated on our website. Information for students
I would be overjoyed if, as a local community, we can not only meet but exceed our £2,000 target in the next ten days – with everyone’s help we can do it! Anything you and your friends can do to raise money for the people of Haiti would be greatly appreciated.
In our recent OfSTED report, this was said about St Edmund’s…
“The school has established outstanding support for and participation in the wider community, in which students play a key role” – Let’s show them they were right! Thank you in advance for your support – together we can make a difference to the people of Haiti A Reed Mr A Reed Head of St Edmund’s School |
