Great Praise for St Edmund’s in their latest Ofsted Report
St Edmund’s welcomed Patricia Metham and her team of Ofsted Inspectors to the school for an Ofsted Inspection. In the report there were many positive comments including: * the most striking and engaging aspect of St Edmund’s is a strong and supportive community spirit, underpinned by the school’s Catholic ethos.’ * students are emphatic that the schools greatest strengths lies in the support and guidance offered by their teachers’ * St Edmund’s performing Arts specialism makes a significant and exhuberant contribution to students’ experience’ Chris Atkin the Executive Headteacher commented that the staff and students at the school thoroughly deserved this report, with a commentary celebrating success and affirming plans for future developments. Patricia Metham commented that “students’ contribution to the school and the wider community is outstanding” and was clearly impressed by their regular commitment to meeting the needs of others.
