Clerk To The Governors Vacancy
The Federation of Dover Catholic Schools is looking to recruit for the position of Clerk to the Governing Body.
This person will be accountable to the Governing Body, working effectively with the Chair of Governors, the Executive Headteacher and other Governors. They will be responsible for advising the Governing Body on constitutional matters, duties and powers and will work within the broad current legislative framework.
The successful candidate will maintain and further develop our current governance system, secure the continuity of Governing Body business and observe confidentiality requirements at all times.
The Governing Body has a commitment to ensuring that full training will be provided for the correct candidate, and in relation to their own professional development the clerk will have already attended, or make the commitment to attend the National Training Programme for Clerks, or its equivalent. Also, to attend the termly briefing sessions provided by Governor Support as well as participate in other professional development opportunities offered. The Clerk will need to keep up to date with current educational developments and legislation affecting school governance.
This position is arranged on a salaried basis, which is equivalent to 5 hours per week,
term time only (38 weeks) which is paid in 12 monthly equal payments.
The salary will be on Kent Scheme 6, salary £2076.00 per annum (reduced to pro rata salary figures).
